Sawai Madhopur was once the hunting lodge of the erstwhile Maharajah Sawai Man Singh II of Jaipur. Today it’s owned by the Taj group of Hotels and is a premier 5 star hunting resort. Taj Sawai Madhopur has stayed true to its royal roots and treats their guests King Style. All the guest rooms in the lodge are countrified and gracefully hints at its glorious past. Sawai Madhopur Lodge has 22 standard rooms and 10 superior rooms which includes 2 executive suites. The Executive suites reminds of the inconceivable opulence of the Kings and Princes, it sprawls an area of 1000 square feet and opens out into a terrace, overlooking a pool and the front lawn. The Superior rooms have a quaint view of the verdant lawn. Guests in Superior rooms are supplied with a complimentary bottle of wine upon arrival, writing desk, color TV, mini bar, a complimentary fruit basket, and a bottle of mineral water every day. The standard rooms are located in cottages and have a nice view of the gardens. Room service is available only in the morning for Tea and Coffee. Standard rooms in the lodge are furnished with a writing desk, color TV, mini bar and dressing table. From October – March winter tents are pitched overlooking the main garden. Each tent has a cooler/heater, a private sit out, dressing room and a canopied bathroom.
Dining
Taj Sawai Madhopur Lodge has a multi cuisine dining arena with a quiet rustic ambience serving Breakfast, lunch and dinner. The guests can also enjoy an open air dining experience at the ‘Neem Terrace’. The Lodge has a bar which is open from 11 am to 11 pm.
